The Value of Staying Positive

Inspirational Card--Hope
It is becoming more and more difficult these days to stay positive as things around us appear to be falling apart. Turn on the radio or television and there is no escaping the realities of our current economic crisis. But do we bury our heads in the sand or do we listen with a critical ear and an ounce of sense that asks "How did others do this in the past and how are others doing this now?"

Looking back in history, this is not the first time our country and the world has faced a similar event. Yet, it survived. Many of our ancestors came to this country in search of opportunities that were not available in their own countries. They came here with the clothes on their back and not much else. Yet, they survived. Many of our great-grandparents or grandparents lived through the great depression. Yet, they survived.

And now our time has come, the pendulum swings in the opposite direction to right itself. I am not a political activist nor do I share my political views with others. But I do believe in Karma and I embrace the power of positive thinking. If we allow ourselves to wallow in pity our turn around will be slowed by our own negative thoughts. Embrace the moment, return to a simpler life and learn to enjoy the now. We will survive.

Until next time, take care of yourself, your family, and all you hold near and dear. Be good to each other, look for the best in all you meet. Stay upbeat and focused on what you would like your outcomes to be.

Let's Talk About Blogging

When my children were young and I started crafting, it was a common joke for me to write on the back of their homemade invitations, "Another Gee Mom Do I Hafta Card?" Blogging is sort of like that . . . Some days I really enjoy it and on others I would rather set my hair on fire than have to blog. I ask myself, "Carmen, do these people really want to know what I fixed for dinner or that my washing machine is under the weather." Oh, wait . . . I'm rambling - that's Facebook. Today is one of those days (but I bet you already knew that).

We have had a very productive weekend. We finished up invitations and frames for a custom order and listed six new items on etsy, including one that makes me laugh everytime I see it.

Before I go, here's a picture of the invitations. Guess how old Danielle's going to be?

Until next time!

Carmen
